Try keeping something in your hands to grip and squeeze to release the tension, there are plenty of those rubber balls or whatnots out there. and just fiddle with them instead of your fingers. And also to regularly massage or "stretch" your hands to work out the stress without cracking them, as with any joint. Although I still do crack my neck >< thats in the rare case in which massage doesn't help

your knuckles would actually grow bigger (or so i heard). It's actually a stress reliever for me. Haha. It's true! I feel really good after cracking my knuckles (or whatever it is called) after a hard day at work
